Mentoring some junior billing staff to oversee the preparation and distribution of invoices in order to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Performing billing functions, including edits, write-downs, transfers, and discounts, ensuring compliance with billing requirements
Leading, mentoring and developing a team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Overseeing the preparation and distribution of invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Developing and implementing best practices and procedures for billing operations
Acting as a subject matter expert to assist with any billing issues in a professional manner
Overseeing team members’ work performance and providing guidance in the resolution of billing related problems
Evaluating workload and providing direction to team members regarding prioritization of competing tasks
Providing coverage during absence of other team members
Candidates with staff leading/ mentoring experience will be considered as billing team lead
Requirements
Degree in business administration or law
With seasoned experience in billing function gained in sizable corporations
With mentoring experience of a small team is definitely an advantage
Ability to work both independently and collaborative within a team while being detail and results oriented
Experience in systems widely used by global legal firms – 3E, Elite, Aderant, etc.
Exhibiting strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to foster positive work relationships with all levels of staff
