Job description: On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst to join their team on a 1-year term with the possibility of extension or conversion to permanent.Summary of the role:The Senior Business Analyst (Sr. BA) will focus on process automation and optimization projects within an IT environment. This role involves process mapping, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and collaboration with technical teams. The Sr. BA will work on the discovery and implementation of solutions to streamline internal processes, facilitating workshops and developing detailed process documentation.Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead business analysis activities across assigned projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and value.
• Conduct workshops to gather requirements, analyze current and future state processes, and identify gaps for optimization.
• Create detailed process maps, data models, and documentation to support automation and reengineering initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams, including architects, to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
• Support the preparation of RFPs and contribute to the evaluation and scoring processes for vendor selection.

Core Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst, with a strong track record in managing stakeholders and executing projects.
• Expertise in process mapping and process improvement, with practical knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven experience working with technical teams, particularly in process automation and optimization.
• Experience in the Public Sector or Higher Education is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and technical teams.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience with automation tools and process reengineering.
• Familiarity with RFP processes and vendor management.
• Background in supporting IT initiatives within large organizations.

Terms:This is a 1-year full-time term role with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent position. The work location is Hybrid, with a base in Vancouver. The successful candidate will start on November 15, 2025.
