As a Senior AU Tax Accountant, you’ll work closely with a broad client base, delivering tailored tax solutions and ensuring full compliance with Australian tax legislation. Your role goes beyond compliance – you’ll provide strategic insights that drive better business decisions and long-term growth. Leveraging your technical expertise and commercial acumen, you’ll review complex tax matters and identify opportunities for tax efficiencies. You’ll also play a key role within the team, mentoring junior accountants and fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance. If you’re analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional results, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and support the development of our Cebu AU tax team
• Importing accounting data from client’s accounting software/ bank statements/ other source documents
• Preparing quality workpapers based on company’s workpapers requirements with complete and straight forward references
• Reconciling Balance Sheet accounts
• Posting year-end general journals
• Preparing Income Tax returns for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and Individuals
• Preparing Financial Accounts with proper notes for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships
• Preparation of Tax reconciliations for all entities
• Resolving manager and Director review notes
• Preparing EOFY journals
• Preparation and lodgement of Activity statements (PAYG/BAS/IAS)
• Preparation of FBT returns
• Working with our AU team in the preparation of CGT & Div7A calculations
• Preparing monthly payroll report with correct salary figures, tax withheld, super and leave accruals
• Single Touch Payroll reporting and year end finalisation
• Client correspondences (ATO, ASIC letters, tax updates etc.)
• Preparing accountant letters per client’s requirements
• Draft billing and WIP analysis
• Any ad hoc tasks

Requirements:Must-Have Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Australian taxation for SMEs and corporations (BAS and income tax return preparation).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Xero.

• Strong communication skills and a willingness to train and support team members.
