The Role:The Relationship Management team within Cynergy Bank is designed to provide outstanding service to our existing customers and assist with their lending and deposit requirements.The team operates as a 1LOD and aims to strike a balance between offering outstanding relationship management as well as prudent risk management, always aiming to deliver long term sustainable value for the Bank.As a Senior Associate in the Relationship Management Team you will play a crucial role in supporting our Relationship Directors and contributing to the overall success of the Bank. You will be expected to embrace the strategic objectives of the business and role model best in class outcomes to your colleagues.Responsibilities:
- Maintain high levels of customer service and identify new lending, savings and FX opportunities.
- Assist the Relationship Directors with proposal writing and due diligence including; reviewing and interpreting financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements and identifying key financial metrics and trends impacting client portfolios.
- Demonstrate ability to support and drive lending transactions post-sanction and through to completion and drawdown.
- Manage relevant Management Information and ensure appropriate action is reported in accordance with Bank policy and process. Collect and analyse relevant data to support decision-making processes. Ensure accuracy and integrity of data collected from various sources. Present MI in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders.
- Assist Relationship Directors with daily tasks, including client communication, documentation, and follow-ups.
- Prepare necessary documentation for client meetings and transactions and help manage client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and files. Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth workflow and client service.
- Be a collegiate member of the Relationship Management Team, share best practice and ensure a ‘One Team Approach.
- Ensure that KYC procedures including the requirements for periodic reviews in accordance with the AML framework on all customer connections are maintained and recorded.
- Contribute to ensure procedure manuals are regularly reviewed and updated to support the adherence to agreed policy and procedures.
- Participate in regular (at least weekly) team communication meetings producing action plans in agreed format where required.
Risk and/or governance responsibilities:
- Ensure all client onboarding is completed and actioned in accordance with policy
- Ensure all clients covenants and operational conditions are monitored with any exceptions noted per Bank policy
- Work collaboratively alongside 2LOD to ensure transactions that are not policy compliant are appropriately managed and where necessary are marked on Watchlist or passed to Business Support.
- Demonstrate a high level of understanding and comply with the Bank’s KYC and AML procedures.
- Ensure procedure manuals are regularly reviewed and updated to support the adherence to agreed policy and procedures
- Ensure all customer and KYC reviews are completed in accordance with policy
- Ensure that all material audit, risk or compliance issues and audit action points are concluded promptly and within agreed deadlines
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Background in effective customer management and understanding of credit risk.
- Demonstrate asset class knowledge in Real Estate finance and / or Trading Businesses.
- Demonstrated experience of presenting information or data in a written format e.g writing reports or papers.
- Demonstrated evidence of being comfortable with numbers and analytical tasks involving data.
- Needs to demonstrate end to end knowledge across the customer journey thereby covering origination, deal structuring, deal execution and ongoing risk management.
- Demonstrate an understanding of analysing valuations and the legal due diligence process.
