The role works directly with the business, GS Procurement Source-to-Contract team, and the broader procurement function to ensure a seamless experience for the requestor/business partner when engaging with the procurement process.The Senior Associate, Payments Reconciliation serves as a developing individual contributor, who works under supervision. The role will perform end-to-end activities while helping with the implementation and execution of projects, programs, and processes in support of the organization’s strategy. The Senior Associate, Payments applies knowledge on the Payments field to carry out procedures and plans.Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts the day-to-day operations of the Payments function. Delivering based upon the agree SLAs and ensuring policy, tax, local and legal statutory compliance
- Assist with performing monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts, including Accounts Payable, GRIR, and other related liability accounts, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Identify and investigate variances between internal records and external statements or reports, documenting reasons for discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
- Work closely with procurement, finance, and accounting departments to capture vital information and resolve issues affecting account reconciliation.
- Drives continuous improvements in user experience, effectiveness, and efficiency in assigned area of responsibility.
- Supports development and implementation of automation and AI (Artificial Intelligence) initiatives within assigned area of responsibility.
- Bring Value by establishing and nurturing positive relationships with key business partners and peers with a view to pro-actively understand and constructively influence their needs and expectations.
- Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.
- Collaborates with multiple departments in the development and execution of strategies and plans that improve the organizations profitability and competitive position, applying market intelligence and risk assessments.
Qualifications:Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent University degree is required.
Experience and Skills:Required:
- 1-2 years of Procurement, Finance, or other relevant business experience
- Collaboration, Communication & Influencing Skills
- Learning Agility & Willingness to Change
Preferred:
- Good understanding of Requisition-to-pay and Source-to-settle processes and operations is helpful.
- Shared services proven experience is preferred.
Other:
- Good understanding of Sourcing and Contracting processes and Source-to-settle operations at a high level is preferred.
- Proficiency in English (written and oral) is required. Proficiency in one other language (written and oral) for the supported region is preferred.
- Requires up to 5% domestic and international travel.
