Position details:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Data Analyst to join our team. The role involves data engineering, data processing and analyzing data to support the development and successful delivery of diverse transformation projects and initiatives aligned to the business objectives. It requires the individual to have strong analytical skills, proficiency in data tools, and the ability to communicate with leadership teams with different business units in the firm.
The position will support the Head of Process Excellence team to drive and identify the opportunity, design and activate the solutions for execution through connecting with key stakeholders in MGS/MUFG.Roles and Responsibilities:

• Proficiency in Data Analysis Tools: Strong command of tools like SQL, and programming skills like Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Proficiency in Process Automation Tools: Strong command of tools like Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint to develop end to end workflows and drive process automation.
• Statistical Knowledge: Understanding of statistical methods and their application to analyze data accurately.
• Data Engineering: Ability to process, transform, and validate data for accuracy and consistency.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in analyzing and interpreting data.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to apply critical thinking to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues, analyze data to identify trends and areas of improvements and develop data driven solutions.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to convey data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Project Management: Capability to initiate plan, execute, monitor, control and deliver multiple cross-business projects concurrently, working with multiple project teams. Communicate progress, success and challenges to leadership, providing regular updates on the status of transformation initiatives.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of business operations and objectives to align data insights with organizational goals.
• Ability to multi-task on a variety of different projects, in a high pace environment.

Job Requirements:

• 6+ years of work experience in similar profile
• Masters or Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
• Proficiency in process automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint)
• Knowledge of Data Warehouses/Data Lakes from a usage perspective, extract data from multiple schemas, ability to manage projects involving complex data transformation
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to make informed decisions and recommendations.
• Flexibility to work in different shift timings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholder at all levels of the organization
• Must be a self-starter, can work independently, and adapt in a dynamic environment
