As a Governance, Risk, and Compliance Officer, you will provide essential support and advice to Branch managers and staff, ensuring the effective implementation of corporate and Branch-specific governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks. You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify, assess, and manage risks while promoting a risk-based approach to decision-making and process integration. Key responsibilities include managing the Branch risk register, monitoring compliance obligations, tracking audit recommendations, and producing relevant reports and dashboards for senior leadership. Additionally, you will contribute to incident and issue management, support training initiatives to enhance governance and risk culture, and conduct research on emerging risks to inform strategic planning.Reporting to the Manager, Governance, Risk & Compliance, you will work independently to drive continuous improvement in risk and compliance practices. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking, and the ability to lead governance-related initiatives. A relevant qualification in governance, risk, or business management is desirable. Compliance with Queensland Health’s mandatory vaccination requirements is essential.
