The role will implement within the APAC region, the global data and information management policies, standards and procedures while ensuring adherence to compliance and corporate governance.You will implement standard practices for the collation and digitization of legacy and new data, archive and secure it, and integrate the legacy data with current information. In collaboration with a team of Knowledge and Information Management specialists, develop and improve guidance materials and standards for structured data and records, implement the framework for key Information and Data deliverables on projects and support the smooth transition of Information and Data during Closure Execution and as the site transitions to Monitoring and Maintenance.Reporting to the Manager Knowledge and Information System and working in a stimulating and fast paced environment within the Closure Technical Services team, key focus areas will be on:Actively engaging with APAC Closure and Legacy sites to collate, digitise, secure, and archive new and legacy dataWorking with project and study teams to scope and manage the transition of data from operations to closureProviding guidance on using systems, managing information, and accessing dataCollaborating with a small team of advisors to refine and implement standards and guidance around the structure and storage of Rio Tinto Closure dataActively engaging with Rio Tinto internal teams including IS&T and other stakeholders to improve the delivery of knowledge and information systemsProviding input to continuous improvement of data governance processes and tools for Rio Tinto Closure data.Engaging with knowledge and information management specialists across the business to ensure processes and tools are considerate of legacy data management practicesWe are an open, connected global team that includes some of the industry’s best and brightest minds. Expected salary: $132000 – 241800 per year
