Job description: ROLE SUMMARY Our client is looking for a Senior Accounting Lead who will function as a senior member and subject matter expert, primarily responsible for ensuring the team’s operational efficiency. On top of exhibiting expert capability in performing key accounting functions, the role also entails taking the lead in managing the accuracy and timeliness of financial deliverables, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards, liaising with other teams for financial-related concerns, and addressing performance issues. WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays POSITION TYPE: Full Time WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Exhibit a deep understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, as well as prepare and be the first line of review for these financials Provide a detailed flux analysis and breakdown of what changes occurred from the originally projected Manage the budget to actual process and analysis for G&A budgets Assist in cash flow forecasting Serve as the right-hand person to the CFO for various projects that are requested by the rest of the Executive team Assist in analyzing various options to reduce insurance costs for the organization Act as a leader within the finance department Lead the reconciliation and quality assurance efforts for accounts payable and receivable, as well as bank statements Manage a team of accountants/accounting personnel and serve as a subject matter expert to accomplish key operational accounting deliverables Provide timely and accurate financial data and related financial information to management Monitor and review all accounting transactions and ensure timely entries into the accounting platform Prepare and approve tax calculations and payments Analyze financial reports and assess internal controls Maintain the general ledger Work with HR in approving payroll Prepare and reference source documents/working papers as per accounting standard procedures Conduct regular audits and recommend solutions to issues or discrepancies Ensure the team’s compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Train and coach team members and address performance-related challenges QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) 5 years of experience in accounting with core competencies such as financial reporting, taxation, auditing, and closing Preferably 2 years of experience in leading a team or serving as a senior team member on a subject matter expert capacity Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to handle and meet multiple priorities and deadlines Proficient with common accounting tools and software Experience in a multi-client environment Strong computer aptitude which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications Strong organizational, analytical, and communication (oral and written) skills Show more Show less
