Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and records in compliance with IFRS.
Day-to-day bookkeeping and ensure timely posting of journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balances.
Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, with detailed variance analysis.
Provide insightful financial analysis to assist senior management in decision-making.
Ensure all regulatory filings, including VAT and Corporate Tax returns, are accurate and submitted within statutory deadlines.
Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for compliance and audit readiness.
Coordinate daily banking transactions as well as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable functions, and prepare UpToDate cashflow/working capital calculations.
Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors.
Prepare and provide necessary schedules, documents, and coordination required for audits.
Address audit queries promptly and ensure timely completion of statutory and tax audits.
Develop and implement robust accounting policies and internal controls to strengthen financial accuracy and safeguard company assets.
Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Support ERP implementation and upgrades to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and procurement, to ensure proper cost management and reporting.
Qualifications:
CA Inter, M.Com in Finance, or MBA (Finance)
Additional qualifications in accounting or taxation will be a plus.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial roles, out of which last 5 years in Oil & Gas contracting.
Proven track record of ensuring compliance, financial reporting, and audits.
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting standards, VAT, and Corporate Tax regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate with banks, auditors, regulators, and team members.
