  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and records in compliance with IFRS.
  • Day-to-day bookkeeping and ensure timely posting of journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balances.
  • Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, with detailed variance analysis.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to assist senior management in decision-making.
  • Ensure all regulatory filings, including VAT and Corporate Tax returns, are accurate and submitted within statutory deadlines.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for compliance and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate daily banking transactions as well as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable functions, and prepare UpToDate cashflow/working capital calculations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors.
  • Prepare and provide necessary schedules, documents, and coordination required for audits.
  • Address audit queries promptly and ensure timely completion of statutory and tax audits.
  • Develop and implement robust accounting policies and internal controls to strengthen financial accuracy and safeguard company assets.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support ERP implementation and upgrades to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and procurement, to ensure proper cost management and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • CA Inter, M.Com in Finance, or MBA (Finance)
  • Additional qualifications in accounting or taxation will be a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial roles, out of which last 5 years in Oil & Gas contracting.
  • Proven track record of ensuring compliance, financial reporting, and audits.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, VAT, and Corporate Tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate with banks, auditors, regulators, and team members.
