- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and records in compliance with IFRS.
- Day-to-day bookkeeping and ensure timely posting of journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balances.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, with detailed variance analysis.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to assist senior management in decision-making.
- Ensure all regulatory filings, including VAT and Corporate Tax returns, are accurate and submitted within statutory deadlines.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for compliance and audit readiness.
- Coordinate daily banking transactions as well as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable functions, and prepare UpToDate cashflow/working capital calculations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors.
- Prepare and provide necessary schedules, documents, and coordination required for audits.
- Address audit queries promptly and ensure timely completion of statutory and tax audits.
- Develop and implement robust accounting policies and internal controls to strengthen financial accuracy and safeguard company assets.
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Support ERP implementation and upgrades to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and procurement, to ensure proper cost management and reporting.
Qualifications:
- CA Inter, M.Com in Finance, or MBA (Finance)
- Additional qualifications in accounting or taxation will be a plus.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial roles, out of which last 5 years in Oil & Gas contracting.
- Proven track record of ensuring compliance, financial reporting, and audits.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, VAT, and Corporate Tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate with banks, auditors, regulators, and team members.
