Job description: To maintain the security and life safety of the Clients staff, tenants, assets, and reputation. Also, under the direction of the Head of Security and Duty Security Supervisor (DSS), assist the Security team with the purpose of:

  • Oversee and manage the access/egress of tenant contractors visiting The Acre, via the respective entry/exit points, in line with site procedures.
  • Responding to emergency situations/incidents in line with Client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalation protocols.
  • Investigating and reporting criminal activity using the provided systems
  • Ensure the service level expected by the Client is maintained.
  • Ensure immediate and effective response to any/all situations, to mitigate risk and impact to the Client and Tenants.
  • Actively participate in training to ensure continual development and uphold service excellence.

Act as an ambassador to both JLL and Bidvest Noonan by always delivering a first class and professional service.Work closely with the DSS, Loading Bay Supervisor and Security team members, to help achieve critical service targets.Manage access/egress of all tenant contractors and visitors, in line with site SOPs and PIsMaintain close liaison with tenants, their contractors and Security providers. Ensuring any issues or incidents are reported directly to the Security Control Room (SCR)Act as a deterrent to unauthorised access into Client premises, by politely challenging visitors and personnel who do not have valid access to the building.To ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with site procedures and policies.Maintain full understanding of all Security SOPs.Immediately report any/all identified faults, ensuring correct information, in line with Site Security SOPsRespond to security and life safety situations when required.Ensure Security Officer handovers are completed, in line with expected standards.Actively participate and complete all agreed training.Complete SCR Controller succession training when required, to ensure robust resilience in the event of absence.Ensure management of contractors working on site, in line with site permit to work system/procedures.Carry out Fire Watch duties when required.Ensure escalation and reporting of any/all security breaches, in line with agreed process.Liaison with local law enforcement and other external stakeholders when required.Adhere to the Equal Opportunities/Health and Safety policies on behalf of Bidvest Noonan and the ClientAssist in training of Security Officers to ensure the consistent provision of operationally competent persons on site.Provide first aid, if required, when responding to incidents.Attend meetings as directed by DSSCarry out any Security Escorts or ad hoc requests, as directed by the Head of Security or DSSEnsure you are immaculately presented in full uniform, compliant with expected standards.Deal with all Clients, contractors, and visitors in a professional, effective and customer engaging manner.Ensure you maintain clear, concise radio and telephone communications always.Remain vigilant at all times, to safeguard the security of personnel and assets with the Client premises.To actively contribute to the overall security infrastructure at The Acre through shared best practice, knowledge sharing and any suggestions to management for the continued development and efficiency of all The Acre security systems and personnel.The above responsibilities are not exhaustive, and the Security Officer will be expected to carry out any other reasonable requests from the DSS, Head of Security or the Client.Personal Attributes
