About the roleWe are looking for Security Officers to work at Homes Victoria sites spread across Melbourne. Duties include but are not limited to:Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other personsPatrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gatesRespond to alarms and investigate disturbancesProvide assistance to residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order.Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems.Conduct regular inspections and write reports to ensure security and safety equipment is functioning properly.Ability work across all sites of Homes VICSkills & experienceDemonstrated ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently and prior experience working in a challenging environmentCertificate II in Security OperationsWorking with children check (or willing to apply for one)Valid Security Licence and First Aid and CPRFull Australian working rightsStrong understanding of security protocols and procedures.Excellent observational and surveillance skills.Ability to operate security equipment and systems.Good communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately.Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.Our available vacancy locations :CarltonCollingwoodFitzroyPrahranPark TowersEmerald HillRichmondNorth MelbourneWilliamstownDebney ParkHow to applyMSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
