Job description: Our Vancouver-based client is seeking an experienced SAP S4 HANA Finance Lead Contractor starting ASAP through end of November 2025 with a multi-year extension to follow. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience leading client workshops and conducting fit/gap analysis, as well as leading large-scale SAP Finance transformations, including managing teams across Finance, Controlling, and Project Systems. This will be a hybrid role, with heavy travel required to clients site during the early stages of the project and key project milestones.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end SAP Finance transformations (FI, CO, PS), acting as the stream owner with full project management accountability from design and configuration to testing, deployment, and stakeholder alignment (leadership, teams, and vendors). Ensure clear communication, timely escalation, and on-time delivery.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
• Manage cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between finance stakeholders, IT, and external consultants.
• Define best practices and governance for SAP Finance processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
• Drive process improvements by identifying gaps, optimizing workflows, and implementing automation where applicable.
• Act as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams to translate finance requirements into SAP solutions.
• Oversee testing (unit, integration, UAT) and resolve defects to ensure seamless go-live.
• Provide post-implementation support, including training, documentation, and hypercare.
• Stay updated on SAP S/4HANA trends and recommend upgrades or enhancements.
• Mining sector experience is an asset.
• Experience working across different time zones and countries is required, with exposure to Latin America being a strong advantage.
