Job description: Our Nova Scotia-based client is seeking an SAP FICO consultant to join their project effective immediately and will run for two months, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate must have gained previous Public Sector experience should be able to configure, optimize, and support SAP Finance solutions, ensuring compliance and efficiency in financial operations. Strong A/P experience and problem-solving skills are essential. This is a fully remote position.Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and customize SAP FI/CO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Cost Center, Profit Center, CO-PA, Fund Management).
• Implement New GL functionalities and ensure alignment with accounting standards.
• Set up and optimize the Automatic Payment Program (APP) for vendor payments.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including vendor payments, employee reimbursements (Alternate Payee scenarios), and travel expense reporting.
• Manage Asset Accounting (AA) for depreciation, acquisitions, and retirements.
• Support Internal Orders and Cost Center Accounting for budgeting and cost tracking.
• Ensure accurate Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) for management reporting.
• Ensure adherence to government financial regulations and audit requirements.
• Integrate SAP Finance with other modules (MM, SD, HR) and external systems.
• Provide end-user training and resolve functional issues.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Configure and customize SAP FI/CO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Cost Center, Profit Center, CO-PA, Fund Management).
• Implement New GL functionalities and ensure alignment with accounting standards.
• Ensure adherence to government financial regulations and audit requirements.
• Integrate SAP Finance with other modules (MM, SD, HR) and external systems.
• Develop financial reports using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) (if applicable).
