Job description: Lead growth plans with a popular and well-known tourism operator in Brisbane A leading tourism operator in Brisbane is seeking a proactive and strategic Sales Manager to spearhead their growth plans. This role is ideal for someone eager to identify new opportunities, drive revenue across diverse channels and shape the future of the tourism industry.In this key leadership role, you’ll:

  • Develop strategies to grow revenue across retail, memberships, tours, corporate partnerships, international markets and MICE.
  • Identify new market opportunities and build partnerships with travel agents, tour operators and educational institutions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, industry partners and tourism organisations to drive success.
  • Represent the business at events, meetings and with stakeholders to maximise sales.
  • Work closely with operations and marketing teams to enhance visitor packages, events and educational programs.
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts and actionable insights to senior management.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and market developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Utilise CRM systems to manage sales activities and uncover new opportunities.
  • Report to a supportive and passionate leadership team and be part of a high performing sales & marketing team.

About You

  • Passionate about tourism and the overall guest experience
  • A proven track record of driving business growth and expanding market presence within the tourism sector.
  • An outgoing personality and history of exceeding sales targets and KPIs
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to foster relationships with travel agents, hotels, tour operators and B2B partners.
  • Experience identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, including partnerships with travel trade and educational institutions.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems to manage sales activities, customer interactions and business development opportunities.
  • A team-oriented attitude that thrives in a collaborative environment
