An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Sales Manager who is ready to use their skills to help New Zealand’s leading supplier to the Hospitality Industry stamp our mark in Hawkes Bay, including Central North Island, and the East Coast. This role is based in Whakatu.In this role you will:

  • Set Sales and Margin Strategy with General Manager/Assistant Manager
  • Direct and co-ordinate sales growth within Hawkes Bay and the wider region that Bidfood services
  • Develop and manage your team including rosters, recruitment, training and performance management.
  • Negotiate supply, pricing and promotions where needed.
  • Food safety and Health & Safety
  • Some overnight travel will be required
  • Management and accountability for Sales KPIs
  • Work in Partnership with the HOD team including Assistant Manager, Purchasing, Operations and Fresh divisions to foster “greater” team culture

  • The ability to demonstrate strong financial awareness be results orientated with strong influencing skills and the capability to deliver revenue targets.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge in excel and spreadsheets
  • Strong planning, organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ideally have experience in a fresh food management or leadership role in retail and/or wholesale.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
