Job description: The Automation Developer role focuses on supporting application maintenance and enhancements for .NET-based business solutions hosted in Azure. This role involves leading testing activities, automating test processes, identifying bugs, and ensuring software quality through comprehensive test planning and execution. Responsibilities span across manual and automated QA, developing test scripts, coordinating testing efforts within Agile and DevOps teams, and working collaboratively with QA analysts and developers. The developer contributes to release management, defect tracking, documentation, user acceptance testing, and continuous improvement of maintenance processes.Advantages

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities within software processes.
  • Design and execute QA test scripts, including regression and integration testing.
  • Conduct manual testing where automation is not feasible.
  • Participate in release planning, change classification, and deployment coordination.
  • Facilitate and document defect resolution and system testing results.
  • Lead DevOps iterations with maintenance teams and support test planning.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing timelines.
  • Prepare technical documentation, testing artifacts, and user guides.
  • Ensure compliance with AODA and ITIL standards.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing testing strategies.
  • Proven background in test automation development and execution.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Agile, DevOps, and SDLC methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience in manual QA and system testing.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and AODA compliance.
  • Familiarity with COTS and in-house software testing.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
