Job description: We are seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist (Junior) to implement and support data-driven solutions in a hybrid environment (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). The role focuses on designing and maintaining BI reports, dashboards, and ETL processes using tools like Cognos, Power BI, and various data platforms.Advantages

Responsibilities

• BI Solution Development: Design and develop BI reports, dashboards, and query applications using Cognos 10 or higher and Microsoft Power BI.
• ETL & Data Integration: Migrate and transform data to Power BI-compatible formats using ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica).
• Data Analysis & Modeling: Support data profiling, cleansing, and mapping to optimize accuracy and performance.
• Reporting & Alerts: Implement guided analysis, drill-down functionality, and key-trend notifications for stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work with business and IT teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and enhance existing data sets, models, and transformations.
• Knowledge Transfer: Document and share expertise with designated team members, ensuring smooth handovers and long-term solution sustainability.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting BI solutions, including Cognos 10+ and Power BI.
• Proven ability to design ETL processes and migrate data to Power BI-compatible formats (e.g., using SSIS, Informatica).
• Strong background in Oracle SQL Server, or similar database technologies for data warehousing and integration.
• Excellent SQL scripting capabilities for data analysis, profiling, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data migration, and best practices for large-scale BI solutions.
• Familiarity with agile or iterative development methodologies.
• Ability to create presentations and deliver insights to various audiences.
• Experience with troubleshooting production issues and creating fixes for unplanned deployments.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
