Job description: The UX Designer role focuses on creating intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling user interfaces for cloud-based web applications. The position involves leading user research and discovery sessions, developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, and ensuring the design aligns with WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards. The designer works in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and uses design thinking methodologies to define user personas, journeys, and goals. The role supports projects such as the Digital Curriculum and Resources Platform, a high-profile, user-facing solution. The UX Designer will also be responsible for continuously testing and refining design solutions to optimize user experience across devices and browsers.Advantages

Responsibilities

• Create intuitive, user-friendly, and responsive interfaces for cloud-based applications.
• Lead UX discovery sessions with stakeholders to define personas, goals, and user journeys.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and document findings.
• Design sitemaps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and QA to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Use tools like Axure, Adobe Creative Suite, and Wireframe.cc for prototyping and wireframing.
• Apply accessibility standards and ensure compatibility with screen readers and various devices.
• Troubleshoot design issues and iterate designs based on user feedback.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, GitLab, or Team Foundation Server.
• Proficient in wireframing and prototyping tools like Axure, Adobe XD, Sketch, and InVision.
• Strong working knowledge of responsive design, WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Angular JS, and JavaScript.
• Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or Human Factors.
• Portfolio of design projects demonstrating experience with mobile and web UX design.
• Experience working in agile development environments and product backlogs.
