Job description: Job Description:The Risk & Internal Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s risk management and internal control processes. You will have the opportunity within this role to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.You will lead the Quarterly Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”) Process and Reporting across UK & Ireland, enabling you to bring your passion into enhancing the control environment and promoting a culture of risk awareness across the organization. As the manager you will lead on the implementation and coordination of the ICFR Internal Control program across UK & Ireland.Whilst the role is based in our Manchester office, we offer hybrid working, with 2-3 days per week in the office.Key Responsibilities:1. Risk Management:o Lead on developing and implementing risk management strategies and frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.o Monitor and report quarterly, to senior management, on risk and opportunities and the effectiveness of risk management activities.2. Internal Controls:o Design, implement, and maintain an effective internal control system to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, and where weaknesses are identified, record deficiencies and act as a partner to management in recommending improvements.o Opportunity to train Independent Assessors and monitor their progress during the assessment cycle.3. Reporting and Communication:o Excellent opportunity and exposure to present risks and control reports to senior management and the board of directors.o Prepare, manage and interact with CFO , CEO and HoA on the quarterly Internal Certification sign-off for entities, under your responsibility, within the tight deadlines.4.
