What you’ll doAs a Risk & Controls Data & Reporting Manager, you’ll have an opportunity to make a vital contribution to driving a generative culture of risk awareness and recommend reporting and monitoring solutions to manage risk issues within the businesses. You’ll strengthen the level of ownership within the business, identifying and calling out areas of weakness and sharing best practices.We’ll look to you to deliver insightful, actionable analysis of risk profiles to enable focused discussion and decision making by our leadership, as well as supporting the delivery of relevant risk activity to manage our risk and control environment within risk appetite.Day-to-day, you’ll be:

• Developing a variety of risk reports to highlight key insight for decision making, including escalating emerging risks in a timely manner, making sure actions are quickly defined and owned
• Developing and delivering a strong risk awareness across the business, contributing to the prioritisation, design and implementation of the operational risk principles into the business
• Implementing a robust governance framework that engages all relevant stakeholders to enable effective decision making and make sure that all aspects of risk management are delivered
• Developing relationships with the business, Business Control Partners, internal audit, second line of defence and other critical functions, as well as the wider risk and controls teams to deliver reporting solutions that are fit for purpose
• Driving the design and enhancement of risk intelligence tools, leveraging AI or new technology to help identify systemic risks and predict trends

The skills you’ll needAs well as a strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management and Non-Financial Risk concepts, you’ll need general analytical and project management skills involving complex data, people, process and technology issues, along with a proven understanding and practical application of risk management principles. You’ll also knowledge of our businesses and associated products, processes and technologies. Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Python would be advantageous.On top of this, you’ll bring:

• The ability to manage and influence a large number of stakeholders as well as experience in managing a small team and leading amongst peers
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis, reporting and visualisation in a risk, compliance or financial services environment
• A clear track record of delivery against tight timescales with often competing priorities
• Experience in working with AI and large datasets to proactively discover emerging risks
• The ability to think creatively when resolving problems and identify alternatives where established procedures may not exist
