Apply now and join the Internal Controls team at Novo Nordisk.The positionAs a Risk & Control Consultant, you will work in close collaboration with the rest of the Internal Controls team to drive digital projects aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) at the Novo Nordisk Group. Another key aspect of your position will be to support and guide Novo Nordisk affiliates across the globe in maintaining their local internal control environment.The job will give you solid knowledge of the financial business processes at Novo Nordisk and enable you to develop personally and professionally in a large network across the global organisation.Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide support to the finance organisation on internal controls related matters (e.g., risk assessments, control design, execution, and best practice documentation).
  • Maintain and improve the Minimum Controls Framework.
  • Ensure that the Novo Nordisk group comply with the requirements set forth by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
  • Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of ICFR at Novo Nordisk by focusing on process optimisation, efficient and effective use of Information Technology, and automation of manual control activities.

Qualifications

  • Strong microeconomic knowledge from a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics and Business Administration, HD-R (Regnskab & Økonomistyring), or similar relevant background.
  • Ideally between 2 to 4 years of auditing experience from working at a large auditing firm.
  • Are familiar with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
  • Demonstrated ability to independently perform risk assessments and involvement in testing both design and operating effectiveness of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) is a critical requirement.
  • Have strong communication skills and professional proficiency in oral and written English are essential.

You value successful collaboration and seek to develop a track record of effective teamwork across various finance department stakeholders from multiple countries.About the DepartmentIn Internal Controls, you will be part of a young and ambitious team in Denmark that oversees internal controls over financial reporting across the Novo Nordisk Group. We also serve as a link between internal/external auditors, IT system owners, and the finance organisation. Organisationally, our team is placed in Consolidated Reporting, Corporate Accounting, which consists of around 20 experienced and welcoming individuals. In addition to ensuring compliance with accounting standards, overseeing acquisitions, and other activities, Consolidated Reporting’s primary objective is to ensure that Novo Nordisk delivers correct consolidated financial reporting.
