Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Human Health and/or Ecological Risk Assessor to become an integrated member of AECOM’s risk assessment and remediation practices. The location of this position is flexible. There is a preference for the candidate to be in-office or hybrid in our Germantown, MD office, although telecommuter position is negotiable.In this role, your responsibilities will include:Supporting a wide range of projects for private and government clients throughout the U.S. (and internationally).Performing human health risk assessments in accordance with regulatory guidance and project-specific work plans.Developing Risk Assessment Work Plans and contributing to Sampling and Analysis Plans/Quality Assurance Project Plans.Successfully coordinating with internal project teams, including delegating to junior staff.Preparing technical deliverables; including writing reports and performing/reviewing risk assessment calculations.Maintaining knowledge of federal and state regulations/guidance documents for conducting risk assessments.Maintaining work quality, quantity, and efficiency at or above company standards.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Studies, Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology, Public Health, Environmental Health or other related area.6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationDue to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Environmental Science/Studies, Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology, Public Health, Environmental Health or other related area.6+ years experience performing human health and/or ecological risk assessmentsApplied knowledge of USEPA CERCLA-style human and ecological risk assessments.Experience conducting vapor intrusion assessments.Excellent technical writing. and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Proficiency in USEPA ProUCL and/or other statistical softwareExperience with environmental toxicity testing, water quality evaluations, and aquatic field samplingExperience evaluating PFAS, PCBs, and lead.Experience working on Department of Defense projects.Experience at an environmental consulting firm.Additional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
