Job description: Job DescriptionSSNA Requirements Engineer – SubmarinesFull Time,Derby, RayneswayAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Requirements Engineer to join the SSN AUKUS Chief Engineering Team in Derby.The opportunity is to take a key role in requirements management, design configuration and design assurance. You will be front and centre in understanding our customer’s requirements, providing clarity of direction into the engineering functions through the Whole Plant Team, and facilitating meaningful discussions on requirements trading. With the changes introduced by the AUKUS agreement, requirements management and systems engineering have renewed importance if we are to deliver on our commitments. We’re looking for someone who’s up for the challenge that a complex technical programme with tight timescales brings.Why Rolls-Royce?
As the SSN AUKUS programme ramps up, we are fast approaching our Critical Design Review. Interim reviews and internal communications have shown how the SSN AUKUS Chief Engineering Team is committed to requirements management and making improvements to the way we work across the submarines business. This role will be pivotal to implementing an improved way of working and enabling the business to make genuine, tangible change.The work we will do for the SSN AUKUS programme will ultimately take us to the end of this century; so setting the engineering systems up in the right way is essential.
