The Reporting Manager plays a key role within Finance Operations, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for group, management, and statutory purposes. This includes ensuring compliance with IFRS, local statutory laws, and internal policies. The role also involves advising the Cluster Controller on complex accounting issues, interpreting changes in local regulations, and supporting tax and statutory compliance activities in line with S&N MAP and SOx frameworks. As a people manager, the Reporting Manager is responsible for supervising, mentoring, and reviewing the work of direct reports, including performance appraisals and objective setting. The role also oversees the optimisation and documentation of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes and identifies opportunities for process improvements and potential migrations. What will you be doing The role ensures all financial transactions are accurately detailed and compliant with group standards, including Minimum Acceptable Practices and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. It involves delivering high-quality, timely reporting for group and statutory purposes, supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles using tools like Hyperion, SAP, or MS AX, and maintaining balance sheet integrity through accurate reconciliations. The position also provides ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support, while working closely with internal and external auditors, advisors, and regulatory authorities to meet reporting requirements. In addition to technical responsibilities, the role includes handling and developing direct reports, being responsible for the objective setting and performance appraisal process. It plays a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives aimed at process standardisation, efficiency gains, and risk reduction. Collaboration with transactional accounting teams is crucial, as is working with the Finance Controller to assess and implement changes driven by internal business needs or evolving external accounting and reporting standards. What will you need to be successful The ideal candidate holds a degree-level education along with a recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, or an equivalent. They must possess strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly in IFRS reporting, and have fluency in both English and the local language. A minimum of seven years of post-qualification experience is required, either in a global accounting firm or in an industry setting, with at least two years of experience in handling people. The candidate should have a proven track record to analyze complex financial data, draw sound conclusions, and propose practical solutions. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in leading teams are crucial, along with a demonstrated ability to work optimally with diverse stakeholders. The role demands someone who can respond quickly and crucially to challenges, make tough decisions when necessary, and escalate issues appropriately to ensure smooth financial operations. You.
