Job description: The RoleWe’re looking for a Data Wizard to join Northpower Contracting as a Reporting and Data Insights Analyst for a 9-month fixed-term maternity cover.

Your role will shape how we use data to drive operational excellence and smarter decision-making across the business.Your responsibilities will include:– Create and deliver insights (historical, real-time, and predictive) to support service delivery across the business.
– Keep reports and dashboards updated, ensuring they’re accurate and relevant.
– Analyse varied data sets, uncovering valuable patterns while managing limitations.
– Follow best practices in data management, ensuring privacy and compliance with governance policies.
– Use ethical techniques in handling data and assess any potential risks.

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about data and can turn complex information into meaningful insights that drive smarter decision-making. If you’ve got the technical skills, the experience, and the ability to simplify complex data for others, you’ll be a great fit for this role
We’re looking for someone with:
– 3+ years of experience turning data into actionable insights (show us your portfolio!)
– Advanced skills in Power BI, DAX, and data visualization
– Strong data modeling experience (Power Query and Star Schema should be familiar to you)
– Proficiency in SQL and cloud services (Azure or AWS)
– A degree in Information Technology, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
– The ability to explain complex concepts in simple, clear terms
– It would also be great if you have
– Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
– Lean Six Sigma or Total Quality Management qualifications
– Experience in operational excellence initiativesAbout us
