He angitūtanga: The opportunityThe Executive Office Community works across the Community Directorate to provide the support, systems and advice to five large departments that support our city’s communities and environment. We’re the oil in the engine that helps our incredible departments to excel at what they do.The Work Programming team is responsible for the coordination and delivery of the Local Board Work Programmes and the Regional Work Programmes. Our team works closely with operational departments to ensure that their initiatives and expertise is reflected in annual work programmes, and that local boards have the tools and information needed to make tricky investment trade off decisions.As our new Reporting Analyst, you’ll monitor and measure our success in the creation of the Local Board Work Programme so that we can improve the process over time. You’ll bring together our stakeholders and partners and help work with them on providing the best data at the right time, while working closely with our local and regional programming leads. You’ll also ensure that regular reporting helps local boards understand the delivery of their key objectives and initiatives.At a regional level, you’ll design, implement and iterate more qualitative reporting for the Community directorate Regional Work Programme, keeping our governors across progress and outcomes.You’ll join a fun, enthusiastic and driven team committed to creating work programme processes we can all be proud of, for a directorate that delivers our core community services – from parks to libraries, and from pools to animal licencing. You’ll meet and work alongside a range of people from managers to subject matter experts who will look to you to guide them on the processes around reporting. Your insights will be invaluable in measuring our success and enabling the team to refine the work programmes to meet the needs of Auckland.He kōrero mōu: About youYou’ll have a passion for data and people, keen to help stakeholders navigate processes that may be familiar to some, and brand new to others. You’ll have a proven track record of monitoring complex programmes of work, with an eye to improving them iteratively over time. You will be skilled in engaging stakeholders from different backgrounds, using your insights and presentation skills to bring them on a journey to understanding. Translating data into action will come as naturally to you as explaining why it matters to broader audiences.You’ll be curious, love to engage with people and their data to understand the drivers or key outcomes. You’ll be keen to learn existing practices while also eager to build on and improve those to tell a story of our programmes.
