We are seeking a Reporting Analyst, to be based in Borehamwood 2 days and Stockport 2 days, we are looking for a candidate flexible on travelling.This is an exciting new opportunity for an ambitious and organised Analyst to come and join us, directly supporting the Managing Director (MD) of the OCU Energy division in building one of the most successful energy transition power solutions businesses in the UK. Initially the primary focus will be in providing business reporting, targeted desk top research, key account management (KAM) support and a first line point of contact for external and internal stakeholders ensuring systematic and accurate communication of operational issues.The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in one of the accounting, finance, business process or operational analysis disciplines with proven experience in delivering high-quality reports, knowledge of performance metrics, and identifying opportunities for operational improvement in Governance and reporting. This is a UK-wide role involving regular travel to multiple sites to shadow the MD and work with diverse teams and stakeholders.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProviding monthly reporting to all layers of the Governance process:

  • Co-ordinate with and support all Group function reporting inputs including finance, legal, commercial and Health & Safety.
  • Manage OCU Energy submissions with MD to OCU Group Board
  • Lead OCU Energy board submissions, board pack creation, co-ordination of board meetings, logistics and site visits
  • Leverage analytical skills to drive effective operational reporting including dashboards and KPIs
  • Ensure recommendations and actions are documented and delivered
  • Provide insights to identify efficiencies, improve reporting processes and add value to the internal facing Governance process.

OCU Energy division client support activities:

  • Existing clients: Create and administer a KAM process
  • Prospective clients and new bids: Support and co-ordinate with business development/Work Win team with any materials and presentations that require specific input from Energy team
  • Liaise with all other Group teams to ensure KAM is comprehensive incorporating knowledge and understanding of all Group wide relations.
  • Provide insights to identify efficiencies, improve processes, and add value to the client facing organisation.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously review and analyse operational processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Update and enhance working practices to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Contribute to and, where applicable, lead projects designed to enhance operational performance and value creation.

4. Metrics & Market Analysis:

  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure operational effectiveness and organisational success.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities, market trends, and competitive threats and regulatory changes.
  • Analyse industry developments, customer preferences, and regulatory changes to inform business strategies.
  • Build dashboards and visualisations to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.

Site Engagement & Travel:

  • Regularly visit sites across the UK to gather operational insights, collaborate with teams, and address site-specific challenges.
  • Partner with regional or business leaders to ensure alignment on performance and efficiency initiatives.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is desirable.
  • Proven experience in business administration.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • Excellent presentation abilities, with a focus on understanding internal and external client needs.
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Power Bi, with strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a varied workload, and take ownership of deliverables.
  • Flexibility to handle competing priorities while maintaining quality.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of UK energy market decarbonisation, policy dynamics, competitive landscape and customer strategies beneficial. Relevant sector knowledge includes energy, utility, renewables, construction and engineering.
