Job description: Job Category: REPAIR & MAINTENANCEJob Description: Job Overview:The R&M Technician – Directional Drilling (DD) will be based at the Weatherford R&M facility and will be primarily responsible for the repair, maintenance, and assembly of Weatherford’s directional drilling tools and downhole equipment. The role ensures quality, safety, and compliance with Weatherford standards while contributing to field readiness and operational efficiency. Responsibilities:Identify all types of Directional Drilling tools and downhole equipment.Receive tools and perform required checks as per R&M procedures and tool manuals.Ensure all disassembled parts are sent for inspection and updates are made in the tracking system.Coordinate with operations to meet field schedule requirements.Assemble DD Motors as per job requirements.Operate BreakOut Machine and Overhead Crane.Participate in knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and HSE reporting.Report job failures promptly and submit failure reports and evidence for investigations.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Ensure shop equipment and tools are in good working condition.Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.Demonstrate commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.Be an active part of the Failure Investigation team.Adhere to Weatherford’s Drilling Services Zero Tolerance Rules. Skills:Quick learner with adaptability to new problems and situations.Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.Energetic and driven toward continuous learning and improvement.Effective communication skills (written and verbal).Team player with a commitment to safety and operational excellence. Qualifications:Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.Proficiency:Fluent in English (spoken and written).Good computer skills; ability to work with business software.Technical Experience:Minimum 1 year of experience in Motor Assembly and Disassembly.Certified/competent Breakout Machine Operator.Certified/competent Overhead Crane Operator.About Us:Weatherford is a leading global energy services company.
