You’ll also assess the potential impact of emerging regulatory or customer-driven standards on our products and operations. Managing daily compliance matters will also be part of your routine.Key responsibilities include:

• Offering strategic and on-demand guidance to business units on regulatory requirements related to manufacturing, product innovation, communication, and product registrations.
• Assisting business units in building the necessary regulatory knowledge and procedures.
• Interpreting and clarifying legislation in relation to food products in collaboration with relevant authorities.
• Supporting the management of food safety issues from a regulatory perspective.
• Tracking regulatory developments in your regions of responsibility and communicating relevant updates to stakeholders.
• Identifying lobbying opportunities aligned with our business plans and actively participating in lobbying networks.
• Collaborating across functions to ensure regulatory compliance and achieve product market approvals, including preparing dossiers as needed.

What will make you successfulWe’re seeking a motivated, proactive, and detail-focused individual with a background in food ingredients or dairy.You are passionate about evolving as a regulatory expert and ready to champion AFI’s regulatory strategy, especially in relation to our whey protein-based products. You bring a strong business acumen and understand the food industry’s full value chain. With a global outlook and excellent communication skills, you can clearly convey complex regulatory information and confidently interact with both internal stakeholders and external authorities and decision makers.In addition, we expect that you:

• Hold at least a Master’s degree in food science, natural sciences, or a related field focused on food safety or technology.
• Have experience working in regulatory affairs, ideally with dairy ingredients, and preferably with knowledge of regulations in the Latin American region.
• Are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Proficiency in Spanish would be a strong asset, as this role requires frequent collaboration with stakeholders in Latin America.
