AucklandDescriptionAs a Registry Team Leader, the role will provide leadership and strategic direction to the Registry services team, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a proactive approach, strong leadership, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of registry operations.Job specificationOverseeing service delivery to ensure all operational standard within the registry team are consistently met.Effectively manage and coordinate team workload and optimise efficiency and productivity.Lead induction process for new team members, including individual development plans to support team member’s professional development and growth.Supporting the Registry Manager in talent acquisition and onboarding of new team members.Coaching, mentoring, and training registry staff to foster a high-performing team.Maintaining and continuously improving processes and process documentation for the Apex Auckland Registry team.Conducting reviews, reconciliation, and approvals of monthly and annual IRD returns (IR852, 3, and 4).Ensuring all registry reconciliations are accurately performed, with prompt resolution of any discrepancies.Collaborating with Tech teams on system development, testing, and enhancements to improve efficiency.Assisting the Registry Manager with client transitions and onboarding of new business processes.Representing the Registry Team in client operations meetings, providing insights, and updates.Leading the preparation, review, and processing of year-end attributions.Performing additional investment operations duties as required to support business needs.Skills Required:Strong leadership with the ability guide teams effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to prioritise, delegate, and manage workloads efficiently.Talent for recognising and leveraging team member’s strengths.Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.Proactive decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.In-depth knowledge of the PIE Tax regime (essential).Familiarity with KiwiSaver regulations (preferred).What you will get in return:A genuinely unique opportunity to be part of an expanding large global business;Competitive remuneration commensurate with skills and experience;Training and development opportunitiesAdditional information:We are an equal opportunity employer and ensure that no applicant is subject to less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, gender identity, marital status, race, colour, nationality, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic, responsibilities for dependants, physical or mental disability.
