- Develop comprehensive understanding of the assigned category, contribute to end to end strategy development and perform analysis to support strategy work, establish and drive overarching programs between different sub-categories
- Collaborate with functional stakeholders for preparing and executing the strategy, innovative analysis and proactively addressing procurement needs
- Identify, lead and execute cost saving initiatives that deliver value in the procurement of goods and services for the company
- Implementation of category sourcing strategy and skilled approach to vendor management
- Ensure compliance with policies, processes and achieve targets
- Understand supply market and perform thorough supplier prequalification for the category
- Selection of the vendors and suppliers of the key Telecom Network and/or IT technologies
- Preparation and leading of the tendering process with regional scope including preparation of selection criteria and contract preparation and negotiations
- Responsibility for finalization of the contracts
- Developing the sourcing strategy for tenders in question
- Supporting the local procurement teams in respective countries
- Sharing the „Best Practices“, experiences and knowledge with team members across the region
- Daily communication with suppliers, vendors, internal customers and management
- Maintain the business relationship with the key vendors and suppliers
- Handle dispute with regional suppliers
- Support of local procurement teams in the individual countries
Candidate experiences and skills:
- 5+ years experiences with technology procurement
- Result oriented, demonstrating excellent collaboration abilities
- Able to work with a high degree of execution power and passion
- Experience with procurement category management is a must
- Experience with regional procurement in multinational environment is a great advantage
- Experience with preparation and negotiation of the highly complex contracts
- Extensive negotiation and presentation skills, experience with tools for price negotiations and commercial conditions
- Carefulness, invention, communicativeness, organizational skills, analytical skills, ability to work in team
- Very good knowledge of the MS Office
- Fluent business English in a level to lead meetings, presentations, negotiations and contract preparation
- Strong ability to communicate and interact effectively across organizational and cultural boundaries, internal and external
