Job description: How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The Senior Accountant reports directly to the FA Team Lead. The primary function is to be responsible for a wide range of Fixed assets tasks, including financial D&A analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. The Senior Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Team Lead in those activities highlighted as Critical and sensitive to the operation.The Senior Analyst will also provide support to the accounting Team Lead by working as focal point of certain activities and providing a clear status/summary of what has been done.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for Monthly Project Commitment and Expenditure reporting. Close Project accounting module and Fixed Assets module.Responsible for capitalization, closure, supplement and decommitment of projects according to policiesWorks with project managers to break-out large projects into components and capitalize accordinglyOn a monthly basis, prepares and analyzes capitalized interest schedule and records related journal entriesResponsible for reviewing, posting, and logging of journal entries necessary for month-end close and for one-off adjustmentsResponsible for owning monthly reconciliation of assigned accounts, including research and follow-upResponsible for preparation of quarterly reports due to Air Liquide Head Office, including analysis on depreciation variationsAssists with Target and ReforecastAssists with both internal and external audit requestsPrepare an Update own Capacity file in order to list the activities performed and the time consumed by each of themPrepare and Update detailed mapping process file and share it with the management.Are you a MATCH?QualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Accounting requiredExperience/Certifications6+ years accounting experience,Certified accountantOracle experience highly desirableSAP experience is a plusLanguage RequirementsEnglish: Advanced proficiency required [B2/C1]Spanish mandatoryKnowledge and SkillsFamiliarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Ability to manage a team with significant expertiseSolid understanding of financial analysis and statisticsAdvanced skills in Google SuiteStrong interpersonal communication and presentation skillsContinuous improvement mindset for process improvements#LI-MB5Our Differences make our PerformanceAt Air Liquide, we are committed to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.We welcome and consider applications from all qualified applicants, regardless of their background.
