Joining us on a full-time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £45,000 – £52,000 per annum plus excellent benefits.About the roleThe Record to Report (R2R) Accountant is responsible for overseeing the record-to-report process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and the integrity of financial statements. This role requires leadership, technical accounting skills, and a thorough understanding of financial processes.\nWhat you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee the end-to-end record-to-report process, including the capital accounting function, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by team members.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for management, highlighting key insights and variances.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance on complex accounting issues and professional development.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the R2R function.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

What we are looking for:

  • Financial qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience in accounting, with a focus on the record-to-report process.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities including process improvement.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
