This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial reconciliations, and the ability to guide and inspire a high-performing team.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide a team of reconciliation specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of reconciliation processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

  • Generate comprehensive reports on reconciliation outcomes, trends, and key performance indicators and assist with Identification of future technologies and systems.
  • Oversee the reconciliation process for various financial accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Foster a positive and results-driven team environment to ensure the achievement of departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and streamline reconciliation procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the reconciliation function to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Conduct regular reviews to identify discrepancies and variances, guiding the team in effective issue resolution.
  • Approve GL Accounts in SAP and Journal Voucher approvals.
  • Conduct monthly coaching, identify training needs and recommend programs to develop future skillsets.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Reconciliations, with at least 2 years in leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Knowledge of R2R, relevant accounting principles, regulations and SOX controls.
  • Understanding of General Ledger coding and expected outcome of Journal Entries
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal
  • Experience of Reconciliations (Prepare and Review) mandatory
  • Ability to lead and motivate team
