You will have responsibility for the delivery of the sub ledger to general ledger reconciliations, review and support the Mirvac Service Centre (MSC) with bank reconciliations, payment allocation and journals.This role will include interactions with both finance and non-finance stakeholders to ensure a high quality of service is provided to the business units. Shared Services is part of the broader Group Advisory Services (GAS) function.This role is a 6 month max term contract.In this role you will:

• Investigating and resolving reconciliation and data issues as a result of data migration and a recent ERP implementation
• Perform bank, subledger, and general ledger reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Review and support payment allocation and journal postings, and reconcile daily, weekly, monthly banking transactions across multiple bank accounts
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or unmatched transactions
• Prepare reconciliation reports, review offshore reconciliations and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities to streamline data entry and reconciliation processes
• Support MSC to ensure the delivery of a quality service to internal and external customers
• Ensure all Trust account audit requirements and compliance checklists are completed and submitted in accordance with the state trust regulations
• Ensure Manager is kept informed of any service outages or potential risks to operations, and provide guidance on potential solutions where possible

Your point of differenceThe successful candidate will have prior experience in a high-volume reconciliation role with a focus on subledger and general ledger reconciliations. Prior experience in Real Estate trust account accounting is preferred. You have a sound understanding of accounting principles and financial administration, strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data. Proficiency using accounting software and spreadsheet applications is a requirement of this role (Yardi preferred but not essential).Life at Mirvac
