Follow @blackstone on , , and .Job Description:BREDS professionals will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of real estate loan originations and be staffed on several assignments at once. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, team members typically assume integral roles on projects and deal teams. Specific responsibilities include:Underwriting of commercial real estate backed debt investmentsExecution of a wide range of transactions across real estate asset classes, including new originations and modifications of existing investmentsManagement and servicing of a portfolio of existing commercial real estate debt investmentsManagement of borrower relationshipsConducting asset tours, market research, competitive and financial analysisDevelopment of presentations and reporting for internal and external useQualifications:Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.The successful candidate must have:Undergraduate degree, with strong academic achievement1-2 years of relevant experience ideally in real estate asset investments, private equity, lending, investment banking or brokerageStrong analytical skills and detail-orientedAbility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and to handle multiple projects at a timeA self-starter, but with the ability to work effectively as part of a teamGenuine interest in the real estate industryStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong work ethic to persevere; genuine passion for excellence; results-orientedPersonal and professional integrityAdvanced user in Excel and PowerPointThe duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position.
