Job description: Job Title: Quality InspectorJob DescriptionThis position involves performing inspections for the CT installation via the Remote Control Center (RCC) using cameras and headsets to communicate with the team inside the vault, as well as working directly inside the vault. The role requires inspectors to visually observe the activities of trades and quality inspectors, execute Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and communicate with the RCC. Inspectors will follow ITPs, sign off activities, and document appropriate information for completed work. Candidates may also participate in the preparation and execution of ITPs and perform quality inspections according to related codes and customer specifications.Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections.
• Perform positive material identification.
• Carry out traceability inspections.
• Review Certified Material Test Reports as required.
• Complete all associated documentation and forms for individual inspections.
• Execute and sign off Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Communicate effectively with the RCC and team members inside the vault.
• Ensure quality inspections comply with related codes and customer specifications.

Essential Skills

• Experience in quality control.
• Knowledge of nuclear standards and procedures.
• Proficiency in visual inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with ITPs (Inspection Test Plans).
• Certification in CWB Level 1 or CWB Level 2.
• Ability to pass ASNT certification.
• Security clearance at Ontario Power Generation or similar.
• Clear and effective communication skills, including remote headset communication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• CWB Level 3 certification.
• Experience with Ontario Power Generation Nuclear quality inspections.
• ITP writing experience.
• Experience with feeder or fuel channel inspections.

Work EnvironmentYou will join the RFR Team in Bowmanville, Ontario. Initial training and onboarding will take place at the Darlington Energy Complex before transitioning to on-site work within a construction environment at the power plant. Training is approximately 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, across 5 days. During execution, hours may increase to 60+ per week, including mandatory weekend shifts. There is a 10% wage premium for all night shift hours. Double time applies for statutory holidays and weekends.
