Job description: Job Description:To support Manufacturing/ Quality by providing information from Data Collection, Process Auditing, Part Inspection and Analysis, Participation on Continuous Improvement and Corrective Action activities and the communication of In-House and Supplier Quality Data as well as maintaining the Calibration Program when required.Roles and Responsibilities:(Include Safety and Environmental, Quality, and Job Specific Roles and Responsibilities)

  • Performance Metric on Quality Scorecard for Area of Responsibility
  • Identification and communication of nonconforming product.
  • Assist with problem solving on recurring issues utilizing data analysis and problem solving techniques.
  • Assist and perform inspections, measuring, and testing requirements for all parts / processes in their area of responsibility
  • Assist and perform required testing:

Some examples include: Color Hue TestingHumidity TestingIFD TestingMaterial Stretch TestingSeam Slippage Testing

  • Assist in inspecting their areas 1st Article submittals, and part inspections prior to Pilot Runs
  • Facilitate and/or work with quality improvement teams
  • Participate and work with Product Development Teams including Pilot Run participation, reviews, feedback and action development
  • Provide inspection, sampling and process control requirements, develop Quality Control Plans, including CTQ’s and SFVS
  • Works with Quality Engineer & purchasing on Supplier QN issues.
  • Control and maintain the accuracy of the Masters used in the calibration process.
  • Insures Calibration process is maintained and followed through the accurate distribution or removal, active and not active tooling/gauges and documenting the status.
  • Auditing product and or processes
  • Participate in and drive corrective actions including participation in FMEA activity and actions
  • Support the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and National Office Furniture.
  • Follow and support the Quality system.

Qualifications:Educational

  • ASME or ASIE preferred
  • Prior Auditing or Quality Technical experience required.

Previous ISO 9000 or 14000 experience preferred.Previous quality experience required.
