Job description: Job Description:To support Manufacturing/ Quality by providing information from Data Collection, Process Auditing, Part Inspection and Analysis, Participation on Continuous Improvement and Corrective Action activities and the communication of In-House and Supplier Quality Data as well as maintaining the Calibration Program when required.Roles and Responsibilities:(Include Safety and Environmental, Quality, and Job Specific Roles and Responsibilities)
- Performance Metric on Quality Scorecard for Area of Responsibility
- Identification and communication of nonconforming product.
- Assist with problem solving on recurring issues utilizing data analysis and problem solving techniques.
- Assist and perform inspections, measuring, and testing requirements for all parts / processes in their area of responsibility
- Assist and perform required testing:
Some examples include: Color Hue TestingHumidity TestingIFD TestingMaterial Stretch TestingSeam Slippage Testing
- Assist in inspecting their areas 1st Article submittals, and part inspections prior to Pilot Runs
- Facilitate and/or work with quality improvement teams
- Participate and work with Product Development Teams including Pilot Run participation, reviews, feedback and action development
- Provide inspection, sampling and process control requirements, develop Quality Control Plans, including CTQ’s and SFVS
- Works with Quality Engineer & purchasing on Supplier QN issues.
- Control and maintain the accuracy of the Masters used in the calibration process.
- Insures Calibration process is maintained and followed through the accurate distribution or removal, active and not active tooling/gauges and documenting the status.
- Auditing product and or processes
- Participate in and drive corrective actions including participation in FMEA activity and actions
- Support the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and National Office Furniture.
- Follow and support the Quality system.

Qualifications:Educational
- ASME or ASIE preferred
- Prior Auditing or Quality Technical experience required.
Previous ISO 9000 or 14000 experience preferred.Previous quality experience required.
