Location: Regina, SaskatchewanWhat you will be doing:Analyze requirements, rules and specifications for test components and develop into strategies, plans and cases in the delivery stage of SDLCLeads defect triaging, impact assessment and timely closure of defects across various sub-projects; maintains consolidated Defect Log and Traceability MatrixLeads Impact Analysis; coordinates with other Test Leads to get a common understanding of defect and leads defect triaging for timely closure of defectsClassifies defects based on priority, severity, and impacted areas; works with respective project managers and project teams for timely closure of defectsProvides Defect status reporting and compiles various defect metricsCollaborates with Test Team for scheduling and retesting of defects; ensure status of all defects across sub-systems, sub-projects and test cycles are updated in OpenText ALM Quality Center.Escalates unresolved or unexpected delays of defect fixes to Test Lead /Test Manager or SaskTel PM as required.Managing the SLA for defect fixes – reminders to keep defects on trackTracks all defects and report defect status and metrics on a daily basisFollows up with all required stakeholders on actions required on the defectsIdentifies and escalates defect risksTesting software on application when requiredUse processes and templatesUtilize appropriate testing toolsSelf-motivated individual with expertise in small to medium projects that can take on the Test Lead role with confidence and little guidance other than the logistical areas.Experience in scriptingWhat you must have:University degree in Administration or Commerce or Engineering or Computer Science or other post-secondary education related to their practiceISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Certification, is desiredEducation is IQAS (International Qualifications Assessment Service) and/or WES (World Education Services) CertifiedMust have a minimum of one (1) year experience working with Salesforce and IFS software testing and/or implementations of Salesforce and IFS.Minimum four (4) years of experience in Software TestingMinimum three (3) years of experience working on projectsMinimum two (2) years of experience defect coordinating working on projectsExperience in Telco business functions and processesExperience in Test case creation, execution, and reportingExperience with OpenText ALM Quality Center/OpenText Testing Suite Experience with automated test script creation, execution and maintenanceSelf-motivated individual with expertise in small to medium size projects that can take on the Test Lead role, if necessary, with confidence and little guidanceExceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, easy to understandMust be able to manage multiple assignments with staggered deadlinesMust have exceptional interpersonal, team-player, leadership and documentation skillsMust have expert knowledge of quality assurance methodologiesStrong team and task management skillsMust possess a good understanding of SDLC (Solution Development Lifecycle) and QA (Quality Assurance) concepts, metric analysis, methodologies and documentation standardsFor more information about TEEMA and to consider other career opportunities, please visit our website at
