Job description: Job Description: Testing/QA Lead – Onsite OmanLocation: Muscat, Oman (Onsite) Experience: 6-10 Years Industry Focus: Cryptocurrency & Blockchain, Payment Gateway, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Portfolio Management, Clearing and SettlementAbout the Role:We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Testing/QA Lead to join our team in Muscat, Oman. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge financial technology solutions, specifically within the domains of cryptocurrency, blockchain, payment gateways, investment banking, capital markets, portfolio management, and clearing and settlement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing complex financial systems and a proven track record of leading QA teams. You will be responsible for defining and implementing QA strategies, managing test execution, and ensuring adherence to industry best practices.Responsibilities:Leadership and Team Management:Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and quality objectives.Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.Recruit and train new QA team members.QA Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and test plans for complex financial systems.Define test objectives, test scope, and test environments.Identify and mitigate risks associated with testing activities.Establish and maintain QA standards and best practices.Test Execution and Management:Oversee the execution of functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing.Manage test data and test environments.Monitor and report on test progress and results.Identify, track, and resolve defects.Utilize test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr) for effective test execution and reporting.Domain Expertise:Develop a deep understanding of the business requirements and technical specifications of our financial technology solutions, particularly in cryptocurrency, blockchain, payment gateways, investment banking, capital markets, portfolio management, and clearing and settlement.Ensure that testing activities are aligned with industry standards and regulations.Apply knowledge of financial concepts and workflows to develop effective test cases.Automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD):Drive the adoption of test automation frameworks and tools.Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.Promote the use of performance testing and security testing tools.Stakeholder Communication:Communicate effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.Provide regular updates on test progress and quality metrics.Participate in project meetings and provide input on QA-related issues.Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.6-10 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a focus on financial technology.Proven experience in leading and managing QA teams.Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.Extensive experience in testing complex financial systems, preferably in cryptocurrency, blockchain, payment gateways, investment banking, capital markets, portfolio management, or clearing and settlement.Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to relocate and work onsite in Muscat, Oman.Experience in testing API’s and microservices.Experience with security testing.Preferred Skills:ISTQB certification.Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).Knowledge of SQL and database testing.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Expected salary: 15000 per year
