Based in South Auckland (Wiri), the company is proudly known for its commitment to innovation, reliability, and locally made products. As they continue to grow, they are now seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join their dedicated team.THE ROLE:

• You will be responsible for daily processing of all purchase requests
• You will arrange and follow up on freight and shipping and communicate to necessary departments
• You will secure the most cost-effective shipping methods and seek approval for premium options
• You will monitor pricing and negotiate with suppliers and vendors
• You will maintain accurate record keeping and files
• You will follow processes and procedures according to company compliance
• Reporting and reconciliation requirements including investigations and reviews
• You will complete stocktaking and support across departments as back-up as and when needed

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• You’ll have previous experience in a purchasing or procurement coordination role
• You’ll have great attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
• You will be confident with systems, spreadsheets, and maintaining digital records
• A strong communicator and relationship management skills
• You will be able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and juggle competing priorities
