Job description: Position Title: Purchasing Generalist AssistantWage: $18-$22/hourShift: 1stHours: 6am-2:30pm Monday-FridayQPS is looking for a Purchasing Generalist Assistant for a client in Mukwonago, WI. If you have a positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as a team, we would like to talk with you! This is a direct hire opportunity.Purchasing Generalist Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Assist the Materials Team with expediting materials
– Assist with shop floor paperwork and dispatch lists
– Help Buyers maintain order acknowledgments and update past due purchase orders
– Work with Buyers returning non-conforming material that needs to be sent back to suppliers and tracked
– Indirect purchase orders including shop and maintenance supplies
– Help to formulate a better VMI system
– Work with production planning to align paint schedule
– Administrative help on Six Sigma Black Belt ProjectsPurchasing Generalist Assistant Requirements:
– 1+ years of purchasing experience required
– 1+ years of experience working in a production/manufacturing environment
– Self-motivated and disciplined
– Ability to manage multiple tasks and have discerning attention to detail
– Driven to take each situation from beginning to end, take ownership of their projects
– Excellent communication skills, strong negotiating skills, and ability to multi-task
