Job description: Job Category: OperationsJob Description:Te Tūranga /About the Role:We have a great opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Dargaville team us as a Purchasing Coordinator. Our site employs a large number of people locally, and we take a lot of pride in being a part of the Dargaville communityThis position offers a great mix of administration, coordination, and data calculation. A key output of this role will also be to work with our processing departments to manage stock and supply levels and the purchasing of parts and equipment for the team, to enable it to provide effective support to our production teams.Ōu Pūkenga /About You:This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to really flex their portfolio of skills and offer the chance to develop them further. Full training is provided, but ideally you will bring the following skills and attributes from previous roles:

• Prior experience in a similar purchasing position for at least 3 years is preferred
• A sound knowledge of supplies and equipment in a manufacturing environment, or prior experience in a similar role
• Prior experience leading a small team to achieve results
• Knowledge of Dry store and consumables operations at an export meat processing facility is preferred
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective communication & interpersonal skills to enable you to build relationships with suppliers, on site customers and within a team environment
• Keen attention to detail
• A moderate to advanced ability in Excel
• A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential
