It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:Leadership & People Management:
Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals.
Develop talent and mentor direct reports in procurement strategies and best practices.Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Expertise:
Oversee procurement activities, vendor management, and strategic sourcing.
Utilize procurement systems such as Coupa, GEP, and Ariba.Financial Acumen & Budget Management:
Develop and oversee budgets, analyze financial trends, and manage a large category spendVendor & Stakeholder Management:
Negotiate, select, and oversee vendors, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and performance targets.Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
Analyze financial data, evaluate sourcing strategies, and develop cost-effective solutions to optimize supply chain efficiency.Project & Change Management:
Manage large-scale sourcing initiatives and implement cost-saving measures.
Adapt strategies based on evolving business needs.Collaboration & Cross-Functional Influence:
Work with internal teams (Finance, Engineering, 3PL, GS&P) and influence senior leaders to align sourcing strategies with business goals.Contract Negotiation & Risk Management:
Negotiate supplier contracts, identify risks, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.What we want to see.
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Expertise.
Strong leadership,communication and presentation skills
Experience in leading change management initiatives within procurement and supply chain functions.
Experience with Global Sourcing: Exposure to international procurement practices and working with global teams.
Knowledge of Emerging Technologies & Automation: Familiarity with automation opportunities in procurement and supply chain.Qualifications
Industry Certifications:
SCMP, CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.Advanced Data Analytics & Visualization:
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, and Excel for financial forecasting and spend analysis.Engineering background is preferred.
This is a leadership role and a minimum of 5-6 years of expereince in procurement and team management is preferred.Summary
