Job description: The position is for a Proposal Manager II who will be responsible for supporting sole source and competitive proposals ranging from $50M to over a billion dollars. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of winning large proposals and will provide proposal expertise to all SNC IAS business areas.The Proposal Manager II will be responsible for following the Shipley proposal process with an emphasis on proposal planning and development. They will also have a strong background in delivering winning and compliant proposal responses.The successful candidate will need to have experience leading large and complex federal proposals. They will need to be able to work collaboratively with all business areas to ensure that proposals are of the highest quality and meet all requirements.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.Qualifications You Must Have:B.A. (or equivalent degree) – a higher level degree may substitute for relevant experienceTypically, 6+ years of business experience, which includes 4+ years of proposal and/or program management experience.Expertise utilizing proposal management software and AI toolsAdvanced experience with simultaneously managing multiple proposals of all sizes from proposal planning to deliveryProgressive technical, proposal writing and proposal management experience with emphasis in technical products and logistics servicesExcellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate/work with othersAbility to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environmentDemonstrated experience preparing Pricing Volumes to include work breakdown structure (WBS) and Basis of Estimate (BOE), including government contracting proposal processes and proceduresPrior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor, train, guide and inspect the work of team members and coordinate project tasks to ensure milestones are metThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance is requiredQualifications We Prefer:Self-starter and a problem solver; must have the ability to see the big picture and implement changes as requiredAssociation for Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) CertificationUnderstanding of the design of program management to include, scheduling, organization and technical management/system engineering conceptsStrong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to technical vs. non-technical audiencesBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US MilitaryUnderstanding of one or more of Adobe Creative Suite applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, AcrobatSkills in the use of MS Word, i.e., formatting, outlining, graphics integration, for the use of proposalsBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US MilitaryEstimated Starting Salary Range: $124,771.42 – $171,560.71. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and .IMPORTANT NOTICE: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
