Job description: Job Description Summary Lead and participate in the preconstruction and construction of High Voltage Substation and Transmission line projects
Plan and supervise all construction activities at Project Site, ensuring timely completion of each project milestone till the completion and handover to client.
Report to Project Manager regarding the project targets, progress made, risks and opportunities in a regular and timely manner.Job DescriptionRole and Responsibility :– Co-ordinate all site activities between customer, consultant, suppliers, contractors and project team, while delivering all project milestones in a timely manner as per contract, meeting client needs, business objectives and design guidelines.– Supervise and control all site construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities.– Responsible for reviewing specifications and drawings, executing site QA/QC activities, and communicating any issues and discrepancies to the appropriate party.– Responsible for implementing EHS guidelines, organizing Toolkit meetings, Safety trainings and Workshops– Monitor construction productivity and schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than satisfactory performance.– Monitor contractor performance and ensure quality and adherence to the highest standards in work practices– Ensure all the work stoppages are recorded and communicated to the client.– Reviewing and approving of sub-contractors Bill and issue measurement certificates as appropriate.– Ensures the availability of all approved design, material and manpower availability at site as per requirement.– Ensures the work to be done as per approved drawings, and any modifications are incorporated in As-built drawings.– Diagnose Problems for substation, distribution, or transmission equipment, and organize rectification. Clear all pending items, punch list issue for project closure.– Achieve customer satisfaction, while safeguarding the company’s interest adhering to GE beliefs.– Willing to travel frequently and/or relocate to job-sites in different cities of PakistanRequired Qualifications

• B.E/BS in Engineering Discipline. Civil/Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 5-6 years of overall experience in High Voltage transmission and distribution projects, with experience on Projects 132kV and higher voltage levels.
• Fluent English written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge/experience of planning tools MS Project/Primavera, and MS Office.Desired Characteristics

• Contract Management Knowledge
• Understanding of plans, project scope and specifications for civil and electrical work.
• Technical knowledge of HV/MV Equipment involved in a High Voltage Grid Station Project. Past experience of Erection and Commissioning for a HV Grid Station Project.
• Experience and ability to implement company EHS guidelines at site, during all stages of the project.
• Ability to co-ordinate with related stakeholders, i.e customer, consultant, project team members, sub-contractors
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and problem-solving techniques.
• A team player, with capacity to work and deliver on tight schedules.
• Ability to read and draw Civil/Electrical diagrams
