Job description: SRA Staffing is sourcing a Project Portfolio Analyst with 5+ years of experience for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role for our trusted Financial Services client located in Midtown Toronto off the DVP.The client is targeting interviews in early December with a January 2025 start date. (NOT NEGOTIABLE)The client is currently working in a hybrid model, requiring 2 days onsite each week (typically Tuesday and Wednesday), with their office located in Midtown Toronto (not on the main TTC line)Who are they

The Project Portfolio Analyst will support the Project Portfolio Manager by providing administrative, financial, resource, and governance support. This includes managing project intake, portfolio financial reporting, budgets, approvals, and supporting business case and seed funding development for an established PMO.Accountabilities**Admin Support and Reporting:**
– Consolidate and complete weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc project reporting, including project status, health, and key performance metrics.
– Act as the focal point for PMO reporting processes (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
– Manage the Project Management Information System (PMIS) – Project Online.**Portfolio Intake Management:**
– Manage the intake queue and related documentation, including coordinating project estimation and initiation processes across multiple departments.
– Track and monitor intake items, ensuring timely procurement of estimates per documented guidelines.
– Consolidate individual estimates into an overall Order of Magnitude estimate and communicate final estimates to requestors.**Project Resourcing and Financial Support:**
– Maintain program resource model allocations and manage reporting and tracking of resource utilization.
– Support the Project Portfolio Manager in planning and budgeting for project resources and financial objectives, including forecasting and tracking of capitalization and amortization.
– Manage project invoice authorization and tracking, as well as time tracking reconciliation and approvals.Key Qualifications
– University Degree in Business or equivalent financial and project management experience.
Ideally 3-5 years of experience in a project control or financial analyst role.
– Advanced skills in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and Macros.
– Experience managing and administering SharePoint for a PMO.
– Exposure to large projects and managing multiple projects.
– PMP or accounting designation, as well as familiarity with SDLC and PMLC, is an asset.
– Strong organizational skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments.
