Location: Dublin (with occasional site travel)

Sparktel are currently recruiting for a an experienced Planning & Design Project Manager to join our client based in Dublin. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of fibre and civils network designs for infrastructure projects. This is a high-impact leadership role, where you’ll oversee a growing team of planners and engineers, ensuring designs are delivered on time, to spec, and in alignment with client and compliance requirements.Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the fibre and civils planning/design function
• Provide oversight, technical leadership, and project governance to internal planning and design team
• Define delivery schedules, quality benchmarks, and internal workflows
• Collaborating with project delivery teams, subcontractors, and clients
• Oversee permitting, wayleave, and regulatory compliance processes related to planned infrastructure routes
• Work collaboratively with survey, build, and operational teams to ensure smooth design-to-delivery transitions

Experience Required

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar Planning Design Project Management position in Telecoms Industry
• Proven Team Leadership/Management experience
• Track record in delivering high-quality, large-scale fibre network design projects
• Strong understanding of Irish regulatory and permitting processes
• High proficiency in design tools, GIS platforms, and fibre planning systems
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills – both technical and client-facing
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities, with experience managing timelines, resources, and budgets
